20 miles – moderate pace – varied.  Register with: Tammy, 631-896-1409, between 6-9pm or via text any time.  Our “Annual N-S on the N-S Trail” Hike!  We’ll meet at the south end of the trail, then leave some cars and drive the rest to CSH, where we’ll hike the full north-south length of the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail.  Full details when you call to register.  This is a full day hike, so staying together is important—please be willing to hike at leader’s pace, even if slower than you usually like to go.  Bring water, lunch, trail snacks, and determination.  Heavy rain cancels, light rain does not; text morning of hike if unsure.  Directions: NY-135 to the Merrick Road exit.  Head east about a mile and make a left onto Ocean Ave just before the lake.  Park on Ocean Ave. close to Merrick Rd.
