Originally owned by the Gardiner family, Suffolk's first non-native landowners, this park was the right-of-way for them to access the bay from their historic Sagtikos Manor Estate. The estate home, across the street, is preserved as a museum. Gardiner Park is a 231-acre nature-oriented public park on the Great South Bay. Dogs are welcome here but please don’t bring them for our walk. No restrooms on site. Bring a beverage and wear waterproof shoes. Rain cancels.
