Explore the eastern part of Hither Woods, including Laurel Canyon, Panorama, and Riah’s Ridge, before swinging back to the coast at Fort Pond Bay.  The leader will fill you in on the history of this part of Montauk and what it took to save Hither Woods from development.  Meet 10:00 a.m. at Rod’s Valley, parking area at the west end of Navy Road, Montauk.  Distance: ~5 miles; moderate pace.  Bring snacks & liquids.
