We will be hiking both trails in this wonderful preserve with a break in the middle. If you only want to do a short hike, we will pass the parking lot after 3 miles. There are great water views and a place for a picnic lunch after. From L.I.E. Exit 68 or NY 27 Exit 58, head south on William Floyd Pkwy. to C.R. 80 (Montauk Hwy.). Turn right to light at Smith Rd. Turn left onto Smith and continue to refuge entrance on right. Meet in parking lot. Rain cancels.
