Meet at the map and information bulletin board in the parking lot. Join us on a hike through the former grounds of Edgewood State Hospital. After closure, the land was given to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYDEC) and is one of the last few remaining pitch pine-scrub oak barrens in the state. Trails are multi-use, can be uneven and tight in areas. Bring plenty of water and some snacks! Heavy rain or snow cancels. If unsure, please contact me in the morning of the hike.
