Explore a portion of the Long Island Trail in central Suffolk County; an out and back hike beginning at Hidden Pond Park in Hauppauge; hike will proceed north and will pass through wetlands that can be muddy; bring water, rain cancels; meet at Hidden Pond Park; from the L.I. Expressway take Exit 58 to Old Nichols Road, go north on Old Nichols Road .8 miles onto Terry Road, go left onto Terry Road and continue about three quarters of a mile to Hidden Pond Park (left side of road- 660 Terry Road, Hauppauge); enter the park, go past a large parking lot on your right and continue as the road turns to the right then go straight to the end of the parking lot (parking field E).
