Roosevelt estate along Brown's River; we will start by the estate house, stop by Lotus Lake and pass by a small vineyard/tasting room; insect/tick protection recommended; rain cancels; text me to let me know you are planning to join the hike to receive updates or cancelation info; from Sunrise Highway (Route 27) take exit 49 south onto Lakeland Avenue (becomes Railroad Ave.) about 1.8 miles to Main Street, make a left and then a quick, slight right onto South Main Street (becomes Middle Road), go about ½  mile to park entrance on the left – right before small bridge; proceed to site on somewhat rough dirt road, stay straight at fork, go past large barn on left; address: 299 Middle Rd., Sayville.
