The Greenbelt will be joining with the Friends groups at these three adjacent state parks to showcase their environmental, historical and recreational attributes, including the southern portion of the Long Island Greenbelt Trail. The day will start at 9:00 am at Bayard Cutting Arboretum for Manor House tours, grounds displays, a scavenger hunt, and children’s activities. Continue at Connetquot River State Park Preserve at 11:30 am for hiking, fish hatchery tours, Club House tours, and other family-friendly activities. Continue at Heckscher State Park at 2:00 pm for a nature hike, disc golf demonstrations and matches, a children’s field day, live music, and food trucks. This event is free of charge. If you have an Empire Pass, bring it with you. Raffles and giveaways at each park. Come to all events or the ones that fit into your day. Hope to see you there!
