Break in the New Year with a hike through the woods and former fields of the Talmage Farm, in northern Springs, East Hampton. We’ll hike from Three Mile Harbor Road to the tidal meadows of Accabonac Creek, where we’ll visit the scenic Nancy Kelley Preserve and the Nature Conservancy’s Merrill Lake Sanctuary. Meet 10:00 a.m. on east side of Three Mile Harbor Road about 100 yards north of Maidstone Market (which is opposite Flaggy Hole Road). Wet footing possible in the Accabonac Meadows so waterproof shoes are recommended. Bring liquids. Hike end time is approximate.
