FRI JAN 1 – BETHPAGE STATE PARK - FIRST DAY HIKE:

Come join us on a New Year’s Day hike through Bethpage State Park. Bring water & snack; hike goes in rain, snow, or shine, only blizzard cancels. Exit points each mile will be posted along the way to allow you to shorten the hike length and return to the parking lot. The park staff can transport you back in golf carts.

Meeting place: Bethpage State Park, Picnic area parking lot near playground and rest rooms. From Rt 135: Take exit 8 to Powell Ave, Bethpage; go east; the first road on the north side is the entrance to the Polo Field and Picnic area. Go to the end of the road and you will be at the Rest Rooms and Playground area.

Age restriction? None

Arrive early: Park generally has give aways and may have a raffle for an Empire Pass.
